How you earn on Zinnes+
Everything an author needs to know about money on the platform: where it comes from, how it is split, when it reaches your account and how to grow. The numbers on this page are the same ones the system uses to calculate your payout.
Where the money comes from
30% of the month's net subscription revenue becomes the authors' pool, split by each author's reads.
Readers can support you on the title page. You keep 90% of each tip; the platform fee is 10%.
With Merchant status you sell products from your title in the Store and get paid directly through Mercado Pago.
How a read becomes money
- 1Someone with an account opens one of your chapters
It counts as 1 read of that chapter in the month, subscriber or not. Rereads don't count again; visitors without an account and accounts flagged as bots are left out.
- 2The month closes
We add up the month's subscriptions, minus the Mercado Pago fee (about 4.99%). Annual plans are split into 12 parts, one per month.
- 330% becomes the authors' pool
Your share is proportional to your reads: pool × your reads ÷ all authors' reads.
- 4Direct support is added
Tips received in the month go into the same payout, minus the 10% fee.
- 5Pix on the 5th business day
You get a notice with the amount and the Pix goes out on the 5th business day of the next month. The Outubro de 2026 payout goes out on 11/09/2026.

How much you would get at the current value per read:
This is an estimate: the final amount depends on the whole month's subscriptions and reads.
How to grow on the platform
Set your release days: the title shows up in the Calendar and followers get new-chapter alerts.
Reply to chapter comments: your name shows the author badge and the conversation brings readers back.
A good cover, wallpaper and synopsis make a difference in Explore, Originals and the Dominating section.
The home page section shows the titles with the most reads, comments, likes and good ratings in the last 30 days.
Title pages come with a share image ready for social media and groups.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to pay anything to publish?+
No. Publishing is free. Zinnes+ keeps the part of subscriptions that doesn't go to the authors' pool and the fee on direct tips.
Do readers without a subscription count?+
Yes. Anyone with an account who opens one of your chapters counts as one read of that chapter in the month, subscriber or not. Visitors without an account show up in your stats but are not part of the split.
If the same person rereads a chapter, does it count again?+
No. Each account is worth one read per chapter per month. Rereads show up as "repeat" reads in your stats.
What if someone uses bots to inflate reads?+
Accounts that behave like bots are flagged automatically and left out of the split. When in doubt, the team reviews before paying.
When do I get paid?+
The month closes on its last day and the Pix goes out on the 5th business day of the next month. You get a notice with the amount as soon as the month closes.
What do I need to register to get paid?+
Full name, CPF or CNPJ and a Pix key, on the Payouts page of the Author dashboard. Without these, the amount is kept until you register them.
Is there a minimum amount?+
No. Any amount above zero is paid that month.
Can I sell merchandise of my work?+
Yes. Authors can request Merchant status to sell physical and digital products in the Store, with payment straight through Mercado Pago.
Do fan fiction titles earn money?+
No. Titles with the FanFiction genre are based on third-party characters or worlds, so they never earn anything on the platform: their reads don't count toward the subscription payout, they can't receive direct support, and they can't have store products, profile items for sale, early access or buy links. They can still be published and read as usual.
